life is beautiful.. , Marina Beach Chennai India 2006

Making promising India more promising is that they have heathier poplution profile
compared to other developed or developing countries like Europe, Japan, US or Korea etc.
They have lot more young people who study hard and work diligently for their brighter future.

Happy new year and good luck guys~~ !

How sweet are the hopes and the pleasures of youth,
Ere misfortune has blighted their springs to the heart,
Ere the seeds of suspicion, and envy, and art,
Have supplanted the feelings of candour and truth!

In life's joyous morning, how glowing, how bright,
Are the dreams of the future--by Fancy inspired!
Like bubbles, that ere they are form'd have expired,
So vanish its sorrows, as transient, as light.

But soon, oh! too soon, must these feelings decay,
The storms of the world they can never survive;
And alas! when once gone they can never revive
To soothe or to brighten life's desolate way!

Awesome Market Dynamics, Flower Market Chennai Tamil Nadu India Jun 19 2006

life was so rich, colorful and fragrant for them.

people come and buy flowers happily
mostly for their gods and sometimes for their own..
happy buyers make the retailers happy
though they manage to crouch all day
at the same spot allowing their own butts only
no matter how shallow the product margin is..

miraculously enough,
they were so friendly and looked happy & prideful.
giving me such beautiful smiles..

행복한 가족 happy family at dining, Restaurant 'Vasanta Bhavan' Chennai Tamil Nadu India Jun 17 2006

just a simple & ordinary dinning scene
of a family gathered together..
however, the seemingly ordinary event
might be sometimes extremely difficult to restore or maintain..
if once disturbed..

希望 yes.. life is tough. but not tougher tomorrow.., Fort Chennai Tamil Nadu India Jun 16 2006

I was seeing the rickshaw boys watching the kids playing on the ground.
maybe their younger brothers or nephews or just neighbours.

the life of the young rickshaw drivers looked very tough.
much tougher than I could imagine, to be sure..

however, the scene gave me kind of a comfort.. and peacefulness..
I don't know but I might try hard to read some hope on the scene.

Life is Beautiful for those.., Chennai (aka Madras) India Jun 18 2009

Life is beautiful..
for those who work hard
wherever they stand in the society..

Look at his smile of pride.. beauty!
I am always happy to go with them.

Flowers! Flowers for You, Flower Market Chennai India Jun 2006

Hard working people looked much prettier than the flowers. Smell of sweating was far pleasant than the luxury smell of perfumes of good-looking girls. I really appreciate the smiles they willingly shared with me...

People In the Bus, Chennai India Jun 2006

I felt more relaxed when I took the bus in the metropolitan city of Chennai. Big city all the time gives us some room for hiding under anonymity. As a different looking tourist, I didn't feel any tension from people in the historic city which was very nice..

Slumdog Millionaire, Mumbai & Chennai India Jun 2006

Oscar winning Danny Boyle took a shot the movie in Mumbai in 2006 and I was travelling in Mumbai at the same year. And the fact made me more concentrated on each frame of the movie. I felt like I feel and smell again the gigantic city having full gamut of every possible life style.. I think the smart director well depicted the situation India is facing now. Hopefully it is a growth pain for the country..

One thing I don't like for the movie is that the director didn't take the evil crimes as serious as in reality, e.g., child slavery, kidnapping, torture, etc..
Mumbai station for commuter trains in the morning.. I was shocked by the massive number of people using the trains everyday for work and also suprised by the fact that the whole track system built in colonial period still works well manually though I read article on some tragic train accident in India on the newspaper from time to time.
Chennai Fort area. We see all kind of means of transportation such as train, bus, taxi, autobike, bike and human legs..
