palm trees on the scene.., Chennai Express India Summer 2006

A Moments Indulgence

I ask for a moment's indulgence to sit by thy side.
The works that I have in hand I will finish afterwards.

Away from the sight of thy face my heart knows no rest nor respite,
and my work becomes an endless toil in a shoreless sea of toil.

Today the summer has come at my window with its sighs and murmurs; and
the bees are plying their minstrelsy at the court of the flowering grove.

Now it is time to sit quite, face to face with thee, and to sing
dedication of life in this silent and overflowing leisure.

.. Rabindranath Tagore

I'm sure that I was really lucky to have this kind of beautiful landscape of rural India
while running fast in the express train.. of course with the aid of my telescope lens..  :-)

A Day and Night in Monterimar in Winter, Nicaragua Dec 11 2005

It was just one day and night at the tropical beach but I was lucky enough to have all the beauties in there. Flying squadron of pelicans in row just over the waves, nice breeze under the sizzling sun, such a beautiful twilight & sunset over the Pacific horizon, enjoying loneliness at the huge beach literally alone, venturing the mood of Jurassic Park without any moonlight or start light after mid-night, and of course good food and drinks..

天孤 Twilight casting over the tiny palm tree, Chennai Express India 2006

I was born to be alone..

I see the only tree over there..
a small but beautiful palm tree..
upright still with the long hairs..
Years ago a bird might drop a seed while she flew..
to initiate the life of the plant on the very spot.

What a miracle of life I see..
What a seemingly inadvertent but
extremely well self-maintaining ecosytem
furbished by the Invisible Hand.
