There was a full moon casting its white pale light over the beautiful campus.

I really like to stroll around the campus in the night watching the trees and old buildings
under the moon light as well as with the artificial lights on the ground.

The surface of one of the most mysterious moons of Saturn looks like a huge chunk of cheese so the photo just reminds me of animation series of Wallis & Gromit. On the movie of 'A Grand Day Out' Wallis' dream came true by landing on a planet made of cheese..

So I coudn't help myself processing the color as cheesy.. Smell like cheese, right? :-p

What does the surface of Saturn's mysterious moon Iapetus look like? To help find out, the robotic Cassini spacecraft now orbiting Saturn was sent soaring last week just 2,000 kilometers from the unique equatorial ridge of the unusual walnut-shaped two-toned moon. The above image from Cassini is from about 4,000 kilometers out and allows objects under 100-meters across to be resolved. Cassini found an ancient and battered landscape of craters, sloping hills, and mountains as high as 10 kilometers and so rival the 8.8-kilometer height of Mt. Everest on Earth. Just above the center of this image is a small bright patch where an impacting rock might have uncovered deep clean water ice. Space scientists will be studying flyby images like this for clues to the origin of Iapetus' unusual shape and coloring with particular emphasis because no more close flybys of the enigmatic world are planned.

Flying under the Full Moon, From Saigon Jan 14 2006

Usually there is nothing joyful for the night flight other than just trying hard to sleep with the help of couple of glasses of whisky. But sometimes, if I'm lucky enough, I might have a full moon on top of my head in the dark night. When I got back from Hochimin City to Seoul, I experienced a quite different flight. Under the pale moon light, the jet was gliding through the dark night without any turbulence or noise of engine. It was so peaceful and grave, and different. And I just nonchalantly saw the red light blinking at the tip of the wing without any focus of attention of my sight..




I felt like I was on my flying carpet.. And the thought reached me of 'Aribaba and Forty Thieves' and of course 'Aladin and Magic Lamp'. Sometimes, many times in my case, it's good to just let the feeling fly over the world of fairy tale or fantasy which is totally detached from reality.. How can I stick to the planning of more-revenue-with-less-cost thing during the flight under the full moon admitting that I am not that nerd-ish workaholic.. :p
