溫 Warmth , HW 401W Toronto Nov 24 2009

Light scattered by the infinite number of heavy particles of fog
gives me an unique image of warmth.

A scarf protects me from cold
by being wrapped around my vital neck.
Heat waves allow us to stay warm actively
by raising the temperature of all the surroundings..

And some images touching & resonating
with the internal frequency of myself
lead me to feel more than warmth.. a comfort..

무한히 많은 안개 입자와 각종 파장의 빛이
서로의 난반사로 어우러지며 빚어내는
이미지 속으로 빨려 들어가다 보면
다분히 동화스럽고 따뜻해지는 느낌이 들면서..
위안을 받는 기분이 들기도 한다..

인간의 외부 정보에 대한 추상화 능력은
일차적 데이타 와 그에 따르는 정보의 추출에서 시작된다.

그리고 주관, 개관적 경험등을 토대로 한
정보의 선택과 집중 그리고 해석이 진행되면서
기존에 지식화 및 내재화된 유사 정보와의
association, Update, 확대 혹은 축소 재생산 및
부가적 창출등의 작업이 이루어질 수 있겠다.

이와같은 일련의 뇌 반응 작업들은 개인별 성숙도,
지혜 및 직관등의 최상위 레벨의 컨트롤등에 의해
보다 거시적이면서 delicate 하게 진행되면서
총체적 반응의 형태로서의 이미지
혹은 종합적 패턴의 집합으로 기억되고 되새겨 진다.

동일한 역사와 문화를 가진 동시대적 집단 구성원들은
교육이나 사회적 분위기 혹은 정치적 선전들에 의해
어떠한 표상적 이미지에 대한 유사한 반응을 공유하는 듯 하지만
일단 개인 레벨로 심화되어 이야기 되어질 경우,
쉽게 큰 차이가 드러남을 종종 본다.

더군다나 이러한 임의적 이미지에 대한 해석에선..
내겐 따뜻한 위로가 되는 어두운 밤
안개낀 고속도로에서의 분위기가
다른 이들에겐 초조하고 기분 나쁜,
음산한 이미지 임에 다름 아닐 수 가 있겠다..

허지만.. 그런 서로 다른 생각들을 가지고 있다는 사실은
심각할 게 하나도 없는 것이다.
서로가 다름을 인정하고 존중한다면
다를수록 오히려 풍요로워 질 수 있다는 것인데..

종교가 다르다고.. 피부색이 다르다고.. 서로의 신념이 다르다고..
무시무시한 스케일로 서로의 목숨을 앗아가는 지구 상의 현실을 보면..
섯불리 다름의 아름다움을 논하다가는..
어떻게 잘못 될지도 모르겠다.. ^,~

Night Shots with ISO 3200 while running 120km/h, HW DVP & 401 W Toronto Nov 19 2009

i had a high expectation over
the higher number of ISO with Canon 50D.
my old Olympus has max 1600 compared to 3200 of Canon.

Canon can virtually reach 12800 with High ISO option

in which i will try tonight.. ^,~

the result shows it's just not bad..
though it's far from excellence.. ^,~

i had been too much obsessed by the slogan type of idea that
.. the bigger, the more powerful, and the faster... the better..
for a long time in my life..

certainly driven instinctively by my masculine desire
as well as brain-washed by sociopolitical need
for high-performer driven society.

so i have a kind of fantasy
toward the bigger and powerful thing..
like 18-wheel truck, armored vehicles, or trains.. etc..

.. though now i know how childish & risky thinking it had been..
