thank you for the SPACE! , Exhibition Hall Harbourfront Center Toronto Feb 16 2011

I don't know how much I love this space.

The space is not spacious at all nor with fancy set of lighting system.
All but different thing is the content with which I could taste the spirit, energy, passion and agony in life of the fresh artists mostly who I've been never heard about before.

What I appreciate more is their wide OPENNESS for the space.
They never be shy in sharing their effort of the display as curators or project managers.
And they never be restrictive in sharing their creativity as artists by proclaiming their intellectual property right too much, e.g., by prohibiting taking any photos.

It's just like the feeling of the good spirit of Internet of sharing freely as much as possible
though we need to be more smart in discerning good things out of garbages. :p

Franz Schubert..Die Forelle: Karita Mattila

Winterreise : 5. Der Lindenbaum

He comes to the linden tree, with its pale flowers and heart-shaped leaves. that stands at the gate; in the shade of this tree he has dreamt many beautiful dreams, and in the bark he has carved words of love. It was his favourite place. Now he passes it with his eyes shut, even though it is deepest night, but the branches rustle to him, 'Come here old comrade, find your rest here'. A gust of wind blows his hat off, and many hours afterwards he remembers the tree, and it seems to say 'You should have found your rest here.' It is a tacit invitation to suicide.

when India meets France.. :p, Pondicherry India 2006

exquisite.. elegance.. colours.. softness.. silky.. breezy.. light..

These are the words I could go with the place of Pondicherry..
once a French colony in the continent..

Some people might have quite different set of words when they have a chance to visit this small city..
.. different market segment.. high end cultural product, value pricing.. design superior..
delighting to find out some business opportunities.

Through the history of time
when west met east or when north met south
there were lots of struggles in the form of war, governance, and dominance etc..
however what I witnessed in here were
kind of desirable harmony and fusion of the two cultures for better life together.
