Praise for Dandelions which will never be perished, Wolfrey Broadview Toronto May 7 2009

Such a marvelous transformation of black soil to yellow glory.. The foliage stands low firmly on earth in every circular directions and the stalk stands high to allure bees and butterflies for proliferation. Unless totally being eradicated, it never die or fade away. It keeps blossoming and blossoming. Other than the fact that we can find the dandelions too much easily in any garden or wherever grassy fields, the shape & color of the flower are really awesome and no less beautiful than any other luxury flowers in boutique as we look into the details of the petals.

An ant which appreciates the value of yellow aesthetics is already diligent in collecting some sweet 'au de vie' and powder for his tribe..

Wish I could fly.. Viva Mr. Miyazaki~~ :-)

Hopefully you have chance to see the animations of Hayao Miyazaki.. Every scenes are so beautiful and the story is very much creative and serious. And don't forget to try yellow popcorn.. :-)

To my confession.., I saw 'Porco Rosso' almost 10 times, 'My Neighbor Totoro' more than that, and 'Howl's Moving Castle' for another 10 times.. etc etc. Please don't laugh, mr.. :-)

I think that dreaming is always good whatever it is.. As I think back, I used to find myself standing just in the middle of my dream.. in real space.. And as the things happened again and again, the dreaming wasn't just day dreaming anymore... :p

X-Generation Offroaders in Korea, Photos by 골매 and 등대 May 2009 Korea

I was just a 1st generation off-roader in Korea in early 1990s. At that time we just tried to lift up the body couple of inches from the frame for more wheel travel for better ground clearance with bigger tyres with longer shock absorbers. And high power lighting, self recovery winches and dual batteries connected in parallel etc were kind of luxury tuning for going for anywhere.
Now as photos show, they are trying whatever they can imagine with their dream buggies. The custom-built buggies have all independently operating suspensions with monster tyres of more than 39" for rock crawling and are powered by highly tuned engine & transmission for higher power at low rpm. After market for the custom parts for off-roading gets bigger and bigger with positive impact over the whole auto industry though the volume is still not big enough to get any attention from the major players. Anyway it's really great to see the quantum leap of the quality of the mobiles and their creativity in inventing the fancy buggies.

散步 Adrift in Tokyo, AMC Cinema Yonge-Dundas Toronto May 6

Though I visited Tokyo more than 5 times, I never tried to take a walk around the residential areas or small parks since the visits were mainly for business. Having seen the movie today, I felt like I've rediscovered the city of Tokyo and I surprised at the similarities of the city with my city in Korea, Seoul. The scenery of back streets, roofing of houses, small small parks, metro rails, small bars, golden ginkgo maple trees, etc.. However, at the same time, I found the real difference of the people living the very similar looking two gigantic cities.

The director followed road movie style but chose walking with sneakers instead driving a fancy car fast & furious, and exploited ordinary back streets in the city than inter-state highways or barren country roads. The movie talks about restoration and restart of life through re-evaluating and rebuilding the relationships among the people. It was just good and comfortable to see..

Admiring Each Other: Yoyoma Plays Morricone

I've been admiring so many people, some are passed away, some are still much active, some are very matured and some are much younger than me.. Though nobody admires me, I've never been regretful for my own life so far. But when I see these kind of people admiring each other and working together to reach further beyond what they've already well achieved, I really envy them and my heart beat gets faster just like when I'm sitting in front of a girl who I love.. Thanks Morricone and Yoyoma.. ㅠㅠ
