溫街 Preserving good smell of old street, College Street Spadina Toronto Feb 11 2009

Only old city can have this kind of soft & warm complexity, i.e. electric posts in row in differently slanted angles, lamp-posts not perfectly in row, bike riding old man slowly crossing the street, cars, streetcars, bikes and people mixed together at the traffic.. without honking, yelling or pointing fingers.. without any computer controlled traffic, the mechanical & human system goes well.. for this slow human-wise system.. which I like much..

ガス燈 Gaslight, King Street Toronto Feb 11 2009

Gaslight..
It was awesome!!

In the middle of downtown Toronto I found a row of gaslights.
It reminds of french novel.. Remarque's Arc De Triomphe..
don't know why though..

I just watched the gaslight of flickering flames for a while
and I found that the lamp post was very warm of course
and it made me feel far better..

凡俗 St. Michael Cathedral and Starbucks Coffee go together, Church-Queen Street Toronto Feb 11 2009

The sacrid house of God looked dimmer highly contrasted by one of the most mundane brand of Starbucks.. alas..

雨 Rainy day woe ends up with Gaza Tradegy, College-Spadina Toronto Feb 11 2009

I feel really vomiting on what Israel has done to demolish the district of Gaza. I don't like either Hamas' cruel & mean strategy against their enemy. Between the conflict of the two evil political entities, only ignorant people pass away in a massive scale.. nourishing extreme hatred for revenge under the name of same god but different name. What an another bloody painting over the canvas of human history.

雪路感傷 Monotonic Wolfrey, Wolfrey Ave Broadview Street Toronto Feb 3 2009

Life in Wolfrey ave. in this winter is just monotonic.. quite calm and no fun.. only freezing temperature of below -20C..
Last winter, I had many times of blizzard with heavy snow.. which were really colorful & dynamic.. I'm expecting still couple of blizzards to come in late Feb or Mar. And why not for 100 cm of snow.. :p

光速さま the Night Rider, Don Valley Parkway North Toronto Jun 13 2008

Whenever I see this photo which I took last summer I always admire over the crazy boldness of the bike rider for the speed. When speed goes higher than certain level tires almost lose traction on the road if it is rainy.
It's like running on the water which has little friction for braking for stop or control the direction. The driver might well aware of the common sense knowledge however still he dare tries to go for higher and higher speed.. Adrenalin sometimes, actually many times, might work much stronger precluding the logical control by brain nerve.

暴雪後 Eight Months after the Blizzard, College-Spadina Toronto Nov 8, Mar 8 2008

When I took the photo of the building with pinnacle last March, I didn't have any idea on the details of the old one since I even couldn't open my eyes under the forensic snowstorm. But now I see the castle-look beautiful old architecture under the very shinny sun. What a discovery in 8 months!!

夢 Somewhere over the Rainbow, Wolfrey Broadview Toronto Jun 16 2008

I'm still looking for the blue bird though I know there is nothing different over the rainbow.. However the very process of searching for the heart of gold might be meaningful in any sense..

腦 what a dimensioal life style, Grande Mall Yonge Toronto Jan 3 2009

As far as spatial dimension is concerned we care only three dimensional aspect at most though more mathematical abstract spaces could be introduced to those people in science.
However if we start adding more critical features like multi-source lights, sounds, colors, scents etc into the dimensional space, the complexity would get easily out of control.. On top of that, make it matters worse, when we dare to challenge people dynamics over these abstract spaces, even supercomputer might sweat for a while.. though modelling itself might not be feasible..
However we, as human being possessing huge set of of neurons connected together and communicating massively at the same time, can process & resolve these heterogeneously complex dimensional problem without any headache as far as we are accustomed to the environment a bit. Neglecting or avoiding and focusing only on informations of interest sort of divide-and-conquer strategy is always working to handle the huge amount of external information pouring into the all kind of sensory organs..

映畵 Slumdog Millionaire, Mumbai & Chennai India Jun 2006

Oscar winning Danny Boyle took a shot the movie in Mumbai in 2006 and I was travelling in Mumbai at the same year. And the fact made me more concentrated on each frame of the movie. I felt like I feel and smell again the gigantic city having full gamut of every possible life style.. I think the smart director well depicted the situation India is facing now. Hopefully it is a growth pain for the country..

One thing I don't like for the movie is that the director didn't take the evil crimes as serious as in reality, e.g., child slavery, kidnapping, torture, etc..
Mumbai station for commuter trains in the morning.. I was shocked by the massive number of people using the trains everyday for work and also suprised by the fact that the whole track system built in colonial period still works well manually though I read article on some tragic train accident in India on the newspaper from time to time.
Chennai Fort area. We see all kind of means of transportation such as train, bus, taxi, autobike, bike and human legs..
